As this German Shorthaired Pointer proves, owning dogs require a lot of time, effort, and training from their respective owners. When done properly, the results could be very satisfying for both humans and pets. The furry pet’s name is Walle, and he’s this family’s energetic trail dog.
Walle shares his mom with another pet, a laid-back Golden Retriever named Zazu. Their contrasting personalities complement each other, and that’s why these brothers are also best friends.
On this day, Walle and Zazu were out on a hike with their mom. They love going on lovely walks with their parents, but Walle prefers going with dad on his trail-biking trips.
A German Shorthaired Pointer is energetic, and Walle is an extra-spirited dog. When dad’s not around, though, walks with mom and Zazu are the next best thing. Mom gives this Pointer plenty of leeway, so it’s okay.
Mom took the opportunity to train Walle. The goal was to have the energetic dog come to her, and then get between mom’s legs so she could put the leash on him.
The training immediately started once they got to the trail. Mom taught Walle how to stay still so she could unleash him. Off went the dog, exploring and running ahead at full speed.
The trio completed their hike, and at the very end of the trail, mom called Walle to come to her. The pet came running, and mom told him to get under. The dog obeyed and passed between her legs.
It was the wrong way, but that was quickly remedied because this Pointer’s an intelligent dog. We could tell that unleashing and leashing Walle wouldn’t be a problem in the future.
All this time, Zazu patiently looked on, silently congratulating his brother for a job well done. Great job, you three. You’re the perfect example of a great family!
